Hi, I'm Hardik Sutari.

I'm not so great at writing about myself so I'll keep it straight forward.

I trained as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. That was the idea. Somewhere along the way I got more interested in building websites and tools than anything else, and that interest stuck.

I was born and brought up at Vadhavan, a small village in Dahanu taluka of Palghar district Maharashtra. When asked what I wanted to be I said "engineer" without really knowing what that meant. Saying it out loud made me feel I had to follow through.

That brought me to Pune for engineering college. First year, first laptop – and things escalated quickly. Friends went out, I stayed in my hostel/PG room trying new things on the laptop, building websites, learning as I went. No class, no teacher. Trial and error.

That is how MajhiNaukri.in started. People I knew kept asking about government job notifications, exam dates, hall tickets… information was everyplace scattered. I began to collect it in one place. That was 2014. This was not a startup pitch. It was a useful thing that just grew because people actually used it.

Today, thousands of people use the website and the Android app every day. Sometimes I'm still surprised at that. What I enjoy most is making hard to find information easy to find. If I build something that saves someone an hour of searching, that's enough for me.

I'll keep making things like that – useful, simple.

I'm still learning. Probably always will be.
